“SUCCOS” - sūculentus, from Latin “ sūc(us) ”noun: a plant that is able to exist in arid or salty conditions by using water stored in its fleshy tissues
‘SUCCOS’ the series of living sculptures, is a collection of handmade-mirrored vessels that house plants from the succulent family. The design of the vessel reflects the hot arid climates that the varied species of succulent are native to.
The use of rope and chain coupled with the boat-like shapes of the terrarium reference the long journeys and great distances that these plants have traveled at the whim of our species.
